Theme: Cross hand art structure to be placed in the park as a rain shelter. Inspiration: I came up with this rib bone idea from the hand clasped gesture, which signifies thinking and consciousness. Process: In the process of making this work piece, I first cut out a transparent plastic sheet and curved it to the shape I wanted. Then I cut the white plastic board into strips of the same length and then arranged them into different heights. I lay out the rib bone-like pieces in curved lines, which make the structure look like crossing hands. Finally, I glued them all to a transparent board on top of the structure and made it look smooth. This art piece functions as a rain shelter.
